The Project

This project was developed by a group of five, in Italy. The aim was to maximize the strength-to-weight ratio of a Lego brick in a new design and experiment with additive manufacturing methods. In this project, four separate bricks were designed and printed with FDM, SLA, SLS, and MJP printing technologies. During the process, various phases such as ideation and sketching, dimensional analysis, compression analysis, weight analysis, modeling according to the specific requirements of each printing method, and running a compression test for the most promising brick were completed.
